Applied Behavior Analysis & Insurance Coverage

We accept most major insurance companies for ABA therapy! Each insurance policy is different and not all policies cover Applied Behavior Analysis. We know insurance can be confusing. We are glad to help you navigate through the process. We handle verification of benefits, collecting required paperwork for authorization, and working with the care representative assigned to the case to reduce the amount of stress on our patients. To get started we need a signed MD order with a qualifying diagnosis and your insurance information.

Denial of Coverage and Appeals

Unfortunately, not every policy covers ABA therapy, but that does not necessarily mean it is the end of the road. There are steps you can take to appeal the decision of your insurance company regarding ABA coverage. By law, insurance companies must provide each covered individual with written coverage guidelines and written instructions on the appeals procedures. Typically, the appeals process ends with an Independent Medical Review (IMR). An IMR is an independent review by other professionals in the field, not affiliated with the insurance company, who have the power to overturn the insurance company’s decision. We are happy to help guide our patients through the appeal process. If your appeal process is denied, there are grants (listed below) available.

Not sure what state law your policy follows? Unsure of your insurance benefits? We can help find out for you! Just give us a call at (931) 287-3710 and our administrative staff will help guide you through the process.
